Formed by members Caleb Keolanui, Ikaika Antone, JP Kennedy, Zion Thompson, Brad Watanabe and Jordan Espinoza, The Green has been spreading the aloha spirit wherever they perform. The reggae band has toured across the Mainland and even overseas to New Zealand and Japan. Their 2010 debut album set a Billboard Reggae Chart record and was named iTunes’ Best Reggae Album of the year. They have won multiple Nā Hokuhoku Hano Awards and in 2018, opened up Aloha Stadium for Grammy-winning and local boy Bruno Mars.
The Green’s record-breaking success didn’t happen overnight. In their 20s, the six local boys lived together in a house in Kahala, practicing their music. It was there where they began taking the small steps towards becoming one of top reggae bands to come out of the 808.
